Highlanders Basketball Team Sign Rookie Guard

The Cape Breton Highlanders professional basketball franchise have signed player Jarryn Skeete.  The 23 year-old Skeete is a 6'3", 180lb point guard from Brampton, Ontario who recently played NCAA Division I basketball at the University of Buffalo, averaging 8 points per game.


Highlanders President and General Manager, Tyrone Levingston, said, "Jarryn is an outstanding young Canadian talent that played his collegiate career in New York. I am excited to have Jarryn start his professional career, not only in his home country, but with the Cape Breton Highlanders."

 

The Cape Breton Highlanders Franchise is one of 10 professional basketball teams in the National Basketball League of Canada.  The Highlanders’ ownership group is comprised of successful business and community leaders in Cape Breton, and led by President and General Manager Tyrone Levingston.
