The Cape Breton Highlanders professional basketball team is excited to announce that Burger King will be joining the Highlanders as an Advertising Partner.
“I’m very happy that Burger King is joining the Highlanders as an endorsing supporter. Burger King has been a longtime supporter of local sports in Cape Breton. Our mission is community so we are looking forward to continuing that mission through our partnership with Burger King,” said Tyrone Levingston, President and General Manager of the Highlanders.
Sonya Lynk, Owner of Burger King said, “Burger King has long been a supporter of the local sports community and we are looking forward to endorsing pro basketball here in Cape Breton. The more exposure the youth in Cape Breton have to various sports the better. It not only gives them local role models it can open a wide range of opportunities for youth and adults to get more involved in the sport. We all know the numerous benefits sports have for children that stay with them for years to come. It's nice to have another sports entertainment option in the city as well.”
You can watch the Highlanders first game on Tuesday, December 27th at Centre 200 where they will face-off against the Halifax Hurricanes.
